Koby is external general counsel to many small and mid-size businesses. His business clients include software, hardware, internet, finance, mining and services companies. In addition, Koby provides private client legal services to medical, dental and legal professionals and other individuals with complex personal affairs.
Koby practiced in Toronto for many years, acting as counsel to small and mid-sized businesses, TSX and TSX V listed public companies and several investment dealers. Following his return to Ottawa, his hometown, he was senior corporate counsel to a large Canadian-based international software company where he managed legal teams in Ottawa, Taiwan and Japan.
In 2010, Koby launched a boutique law firm focusing on providing high quality legal services to entrepreneurial individuals and businesses. By providing great service and good legal advice, Smutylo Law+ now services business clients in Ottawa, Toronto and elsewhere in Canada as well as in the United States, South America, Europe and Asia. Koby obtained a First Class Honours degree from Queen’s University and a law degree from Western University.
